Bonnes nouvelles!
Our first card to France is in the mail! Its destination is Dingy Saint Clair, a beautiful picturesque village located in the French region Rhône-Alpes, 1190 km away!
Hope Johanna will like this lovely literary postcard featuring some scenes from one of Jane Austen's masterpieces, Pride and Prejudice (1813).
As its title suggests, Austen's novel wonderfully illustrates the drawbacks of pride and prejudice when you meet someone for the first time, especially if that person could turn out to be the love of your life!
If you haven't read it, watch the trailer of its film adaptation...both the novel and the film are a must!
As this is the first postcard sent to France, French students were invited to write it in French and let Johanna know about our Third Book Festival, celebrated 3 weeks ago.
They have also looked for information about Dingy Saint Clair and have posted their findings here.
Un grand merci à tous!
Très jolie carte postal! Merci de partager!!!
