Built in 1900, Harju pavilion is an eastern-influenced Art Nouveau building of cultural and historical value, and an absolute must for visitors to Heinola. Harju pavilion is located near the centre of the town.

Heinola Bird Sanctuary

The bird sanctuary is Heinola's most popular visitor attraction. 8 birdhouses and the Harjulampi pond combine to form the best bird paradise in Finland.

Heinola City Museum

Heinola City Museum provides guests with the history of the place from the late 1700s to the 1930s, bourgeois interiors of the 1800s, medals and cash collections, Anja Juurikkala Arabia-designed objects, old Finnish glass, the museum's collections of silver, as well as various themed exhibitions.
Heinola City Museum has become known as the great different stylistic periods presented in this exhibition.

With the Gustavian furniture, wallpaper and use of objects, doors and windows, visitors are taken to a unique atmosphere. The house represents the rococo and kustavilaisuutta styles and was completed in the 1780s.
